The overall demand for automobiles grew by 18 percent in the domestic market whereas the exports demands rise up by 26 percent. The turnover of this industry stood at $51.2 billion in 2017-18. While exports which included steering, engine components, body suspension, and brakes grew 23.9% to 90,571 crores.
